​Language Travel to Montpellier includes:

​The Language School

The language school in Montpellier is a nationally recognised language school in France with more than 20 years of experience and located in the heart of Montpellier. They include 10 modern classrooms and interactive whiteboards. Teaching takes place in a modern building, complete with patio where students have the opportunity to enjoy the breaks during the day. The school also has a canteen which serves lunch everyday. The language school is only 10 minutes walk from the historic centre. 

The language school in Montpellier is one of the most recognised and reputable language schools in France and it has a variety of international and national accolades behind it. Our school receives year-round international students from around the world.


Teaching at the language school in Montpellier is like any other of our Language Travel programs, of the highest quality. The right environment for learning is provided in small, international, level segregated classes. All teachers are university trained teachers.

This language course includes 20 lessons a week. There are maximum of 15 students in each class, which means that the teaching focuses on each student. Lessons are 45 minutes in length. The first day of the course, your French level will be tested, and then you will be placed in the language class that best suits your level. 


In Montpellier you can choose between two accommodation options:

Host family:

You can choose to be accommodated in a local French host family . Here you really get the opportunity to practice your French language around the clock. You will be accommodated in a single or twin room . Breakfast and dinner are eaten with the host family.

All host families are carefully selected and are regularly visited by language school personnel, ensuring a high standard and quality. Most of the host families are located less than 30 minutes travelling to / from the language school, and about half of all host families are situated within walking distance to / from the language school.​


Another option is to stay at the school's dormitory. This offer is only for students aged 14-16 years. Here you will be accommodated in single or twin room . Each room has its own shower and toilet. In addition there is a common area where you can socialise with other students. Meals are served at the language school, located a short distance from the college.​


Whether you choose to stay with a host family or at the language school college, full board is included in the language programme. At the host family you will be served breakfast and dinner and lunch will be provided at the language school. For those who choose to stay at the college, all meals are served at the language school. On those days when there is a tour, all participants will have lunch on the trip.


In Montpellier, you will be provided with a large program of activities, which will take place outside school hours. The language school organises activities everyday, so there is ample opportunity to have fun while you practice your French.

The activities may include welcome meeting, town walk, volleyball on the beach, sports activities, farewell dinner, themed evenings, disco night and much more.


In Montpellier there will be a one day excursion offered each week. These are included in your Language Travel if you are away for at least 2 weeks. The excursions will often be at the weekend, and may include Avignon, La Camrague, The Grotte des Demoiselles or The Pont du Gard. Each excursion will include lunch.


On arrival at Montpellier airport you will be picked up by one of the language school staff, who will transport you to your accommodation and also return you back to the airport on departure. Arrival should preferably take place between 1pm - 6pm and departure in the period 9am - 3pm.​ Transfers can be arranged from Nimes and Marseille airport for an additional cost.
