Au Pair Germany​

Becoming an Au Pair in Germany will allow you the chance to learn a new language, meet new people and live life in the centre of Europe. Germany has one of the highest standards of living in the world and a rich history which is evident in its architecture and museums. Germany also has beautiful national parks and fabulous landscapes. While living in Germany you will have time to explore this beautiful country but also have easy access to the rest of Europe. This stunning country values the family unit and has great respect for family life and togetherness. You will become a part of this life if you choose to become an Au Pair in Germany.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Aged 18 to 29
  • Mature and responsible
  • Enjoy children age 3 months to 12 years
  • Enjoy helping children grow and develop
  • High School graduate
  • Basic German language knowledge preferred but not required
  • Prepared to commit to a placement of a minimum of 6 months.
  • Are in good health
  • No criminal record
  • Are energetic and enthusiastic
  • Are a non-smoker
  • Valid driving license (preferred but not required)

Program inclusions

Included in your program fee are the following:

  • Application and interview process
  • Placement with a German host family
  • Comprehensive insurance cover – Travel, accident, liability, sickness, baggage and legal protection
  • Pre Departure preparation
  • Minimum pocket money of 260 Euros per month
  • Plus 90 Euros per month for a language course
  • Access to a support coordinator who will contact you throughout your program
  • Access to Au Pair network in Germany

MyEducation (UK) guarantees the following for you while on your program:

  • Placement with a carefully screened Germany family
  • Own room and full board with the host family
  • Free flight to host family if you make a 12 month commitment
  • Free return flight if you complete a 12 month commitment
  • 1.5 days off consecutively per week and one full weekend off per month
  • Work 30 hours per week and maximum of 6 hours a day
  • Minimum of 350 Euros pocket money per month
  • 2 weeks of paid leave (6 month commitment). 4 weeks of paid leave (12 month commitment)
  • Guidance from your Coordinator during your stay
  • Certificate of completio
