Life in Augsburg is very stress-relieving and in no way hectic, as you can often experience in larger cities. Everywhere in Augsburg you will find cosy fountains, people sitting and chatting in cafes or students holding a small football match in one of the city’s many beautiful parks. During the Renaissance, Augsburg was the centre of architecture, music and art. The famous painter Holbein, and not least the composer Mozart, lived in the city during periods of their lives.
