Supervision and Free Time

Staff from the language school supervise the student groups during the course and the organised activities. Students are welcome to travel on their own, for example walking around Augsburg in their free time. Augsburg is a safe city, but the language school encourages you to explore with others and you must adhere to the evening curfews that are set. Students aged 14-15 must be home no later than 9pm and students aged 16-17 must be home by 10pm. Host families will expect students to be home for mealtimes too, so communication with the family is important.

AUGSBURG – SOUTH GERMAN CHARM

Augsburg is located in southern Germany, but only around 30 minutes by public transport to Munich. The city has a population of around 300,000 people. Augsburg is the third largest city in Bavaria and it has a charm that cannot be compared to anywhere else in Germany.

Life in Augsburg is very stress-relieving and in no way hectic, as you can often experience in larger cities. Everywhere in Augsburg you will find cosy fountains, people sitting and chatting in cafes or students holding a small football match in one of the city’s many beautiful parks. During the Renaissance, Augsburg was the centre of architecture, music and art. The famous painter Holbein, and not least the composer Mozart, lived in the city during periods of their lives.

Augsburg is simply the perfect destination for a language trip to Germany if you want to experience southern German charm, culture and hospitality.
