Antibes Summer Language Travel

Antibes Essential // 12-17 years

From 23rd  June to 24th August 2024.

In this program you will receive a mixture of French teaching and activities. You will have classes in the morning with groups of no more than 15 students. Each class is divided by their French experience and level. Teachers strive to provide a fun atmosphere to develop your spoken skills and confidence. After lunch your afternoon and evening will be spent on a variety of activities supervised by a dedicated entertainment team. Activites include Sailing, Zumba, Circus, BBQ, Karaoke and much more. Also included is a day trip e.g. Nice, Monaco, Lerins Islands and a half day excursion e.g. Nice, Cannes, Marineland.

* Intensive Class option: for students who want to increase their language learning, they can add 2 additional lessons each afternoon and join the Intensive course.

Antibes Essential + Dance & Fitness // 12-17 years

From 30th  June to 27th July 2024.

Combine the Essential Program with the additional Dance and Fitness program. Spend your morning learning French in class and then spend your afternoon with a dedicated group who focus on Dance and Fitness. If you would like to enhance more than just your French skills, then this program is for you. Make friends from around the world with similar interests and have a lot of fun.

*Intensive French classes cannot be combined with the Dance and Fitness program.

Antibes Essential + Sailing Plus // 12-17 years

From 30th  June to 24th August 2024.

Combine the Antibes Essential program with 5 workshops in the afternoon focusing solely on boating. If you like water and boating, this program is absolutely great for you. Spend your morning learning French with your classmates, and in the afternoon, instead of general activities, spend your time sailing and trying out other water sports. So if this is something that sounds exciting, we definitely recommend this program to you.

*Intensive French classes cannot be combined with this program.

Supervision and free time

Depending on your age, you will have different levels of freedom to spend the afternoon as you wish. If the activity offered isn’t appealing to you, you could go and explore Antibes instead.

16-17 year olds: permission to leave the premises until 10pm Monday – Thursday and until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays, with parental consent.

13 – 15 years olds: permission to go into town or the beach after activities until dinner, with parental consent.

12 years olds: remain under the constant supervision of the group leaders.

Teaching

The teaching at the language school in Antibes is of high quality and staff create the right framework for optimal language learning in small, international, level-divided classes. On the first day of your course, your French level will be tested, and then you will be placed in the language class that best suits your level. This language tour includes  20 French morning lessons of 45 minutes per week from Monday to Friday. There will be a maximum of 15 students in a class.

It is possible to purchase 6 extra lessons / week, so you will receive 26 lessons / week. This is available from level A1.

Note that all teaching takes place in French and we therefore recommend that you know a little French before departure.

Accommodation Options

You can choose to live in school accommodation or with a host family (age 13-17 only, Essential program only.)

School accommodation: You can live in one of the language school’s colleges in a multi-bed room (3-4 students – not native English speakers). Some rooms are en-suite and others have showers and toilets on each floor. The school uses teaching rooms at colleges across Antibes and shuttle buses are provided. We cannot promise that all students will be accommodated at the school accommodation located at the language school. Students will live at a campus just a few minutes from the city centre and live in 2-bed rooms. All rooms are en suite.

Host Family: if you want a truly immersive program, then living with a host family is for you. All families are checked and inspected regularly. They offer single and twin rooms. Families will welcome the students home after their busy day and involve them in their daily life. Host family accommodation only available for 13- 17 years olds. (Host family option ONLY available for Essential program participants.)
