BERLIN – TRENDY, FASCINATING AND INSPIRING

Berlin is Germany’s vibrant capital. Old Berlin travellers will hardly recognise the city – new buildings in glass and steel have sprung up everywhere and are still being built. However, you can still find the special Berlin atmosphere in the old town, such as Kreuzberg, Prenzlauer Berg and Friedrichshain, where the locals meet at their regular pub for a cup of coffee.

A visit to Berlin should be a “must” for any student, because the history of the city is the whole history of Europe gathered in one place. Berlin has witnessed great upheavals after 30 years of war over Nazism and the Cold War, but today emerges as a modern capital where the pace can take the breath away from even the most hardened metropolitan traveller. Berlin is an exciting and obvious destination for language travel.
