Nerja is a small town with 20,000 inhabitants located on the Costa del Sol, 50-minute drive from Málaga. The city is surrounded by mountains and beautiful beaches and offers visitors a pleasant climate with an average temperature of about 20 degrees year round.


People have inhabited Nerja since the Stone Age, but the city has its name and origin from the Arabs, who called the city Narixa. The friendly people, their traditions and its location makes Nerja the ideal place for a language course.

Below it lie sandy beaches and cliffside coves. Cueva de Nerja, a nearby cavern with unusual stalactites and stalagmites, hosts popular summertime concerts. It's also known for its paleolithic paintings, viewable by guided tour.

The Language School in Nerja

The language school in Nerja is located in the heart of the old town, in a typical Andalusian building, only a few minutes walk to the accommodation, shops and beaches. The school consists of 12 classrooms, a bookstore, a library, a multimedia room and a cafe. The school is set beautiful and charming surroundings with their own exotic garden with many beautiful and interesting plants, and everything can be used by the students. 

Teaching at the language school in Nerja is of the highest quality, and this creates the right environment for optimal learning in small international, segregated classes. All teachers are university trained teachers, and they therefore have the right qualification to perform this job. The first day of the course, your Spanish level will be tested, and then you will be placed in the class that best suits your level of Spanish.
